‘Teaching By Objectives’ is a science as it has some certain principles. It is practical, applied and behavioral sciences and it is an art as well because it requires skills, techniques, methods, activities and strategies. There are absolutely techniques that have been recognized to work better than the traditional lecture method or presenting them with only linear or sequential information such as reading or listening to lecture. Using pictures, maps and hands on efforts, instead of only receiving line after line to read or write will be effective. Effective teaching focus more on facilitating meaningful, expanded, multiple representations of information in learning experiences--and, all in all, that isn't so hard to learn how to do. To become an effective teacher in common teaching situations--from analyzing student needs, developing and facilitating meaningful learning objectives for one’s lesson plans, to following through on the teaching design and giving feedback, with suitable assessments. It means effective teacher focus on objectives while teaching.
